The Starlite Occident festival, held from 14 June to 31 August in Marbella, closed its 2024 edition with more than 350,000 attendees from 96 countries. Over 600 hours of live music were performed across 300 concerts at the iconic Nagüeles quarry, solidifying the festival’s reputation as a leading international event.
A PWC study revealed the festival’s total annual economic impact exceeds 315 million euros in terms of GDP, and it has generated over a thousand jobs. This year’s festival featured the largest stage in its history, also the largest fixed stage in Spain, and was equipped with Holoplot, the world’s most advanced audio system, providing an unparalleled live music experience.
Starlite Occident also launched the Tur-Experience digitalisation project, designed to personalise attendees’ experiences and streamline the movement of people to reduce queuing.
The star-studded lineup included Luis Miguel’s last three concerts in Spain, Van Morrison’s exclusive stop in the country, and Sebastián Yatra’s only concert of the summer. Other international artists included Take That, Keane, Jamie Cullum, Simple Minds, Tom Jones, and Sheryl Crow. Latin music was well-represented by stars like Ricky Martin, Farruko, Camilo, and Christian Nodal.
Spanish icons like Hombres G, Los Secretos, Pablo López, and Malú also took to the stage, alongside flamenco greats such as Sara Baras and Miguel Poveda. For younger audiences, children’s group Cantajuego performed at the festival.
With its stunning location and impressive lineup, Starlite Occident reaffirmed its place as a key event on the global festival circuit.
