Will Smith and Antonio Banderas in a display of solidarity at the Starlite in Marbella

The American actor was the centre of attention at the annual charity gala, which raised money for the Starlite Foundation.

The Starlite Gala once again lit up the Nagüeles quarry in Marbella, where stars gathered for a night of solidarity and philanthropy. This annual event, now in its 15th year, raised funds to support the Starlite Foundation’s mission to provide development, training, and inclusion opportunities for those most in need.

Antonio Banderas and Sandra García-Sanjuán hosted the evening, which was highlighted by the presence of guest of honour, Will Smith. Known for his global charitable work, Smith was the centre of attention, reinforcing his commitment to causes that make a positive impact worldwide.

The night also celebrated other notable figures for their charitable contributions, including India Martínez, Cayetana Guillén Cuervo, Carlos Vives, Javier Zanetti, and Margarita Vargas.

The red carpet saw a parade of famous faces eager to support the cause, including Macarena Gómez, Paula Echeverría, Miguel Poveda, Mireia Lalaguna, María Casado, Gunila Von Bismarck, Mónica Hoyos, and Irene Villa.

Carlos Latre and Valeria Mazza, Starlite’s international ambassador, kept the energy high as they led the gala, which featured an exciting auction offering impressive artwork and one-of-a-kind experiences.

This year’s gala embraced a vibrant Mexican theme, from the dinner to the overall atmosphere. Antonio Banderas, reflecting on the evening, expressed his joy at the strong turnout, noting his affection for Mexico, a country where he has filmed seven movies. He emphasized, however, that the true importance of the event lies in raising funds for their foundations, continuing the Starlite Foundation’s legacy of charitable support.
